Kokonainen
Kokonainen festival is a chamber music event in Häme area in Finland. Mari and violinist Linda Suolahti started it in 2016. The festival tackles some gender inequality issues in the classical music world, promotes living female composers and brings older and often forgotten music of women to the audiences.
Viluksela & Docx
Mari has performed as a duo with the pianist-composer Hector Docx since 2017. In their programme planning they want to combine forgotten pieces with the music of living composers and they are always looking for musical or thematical links between pieces. They have also started a commission project to find new, innovative repertoire for viola and piano.
